The Candle Stick

My bride is a one good woman,

And I love her more when she comes in white;

When the dark night veils my sight,

She sure is there to give me light;

With her by my side,

I think of all the beauties,

That my later stores for me.

And when I’m lonely,

And the breeze blows cold,

She draws me closer and warms my palms;

When I cry, she is my joy;

My passions make her teary though;

Together we stir

As our time pass by,

When I go frail and she withers away.

In Your Prime

In your prime when it´s so joyful

It´s a crime to be too fearful;

They´d bet a dime to make you tearful

Just the time when it´s so peaceful;

Always smile and then be cheerful;

Go a mile, but just be careful;

You could rhyme to make them thankful;

Never mind if one seems scornful.

Old Folks´ Cry

O´ days away we dreamt our now

A many a times and now we know;

Maidens played, we made our picks;

Today we´re grown, it´s life we face;

Folks abound´ the times we laughed;

Days of joy, we craved yet for now;

And what have we, a wife and a lad?

Today, our quest to live is all;

Merrily days away we´ve missed;

Tired backs, our might embraced;

Clustered in groups, our folks now mourn;

Till the moon fades and away we go

Another Given Sunday

Rhythm of the heart cannot be heard aloud;

Tales of the past cannot be read from the eyes;

All the many miles the feet have traveled,

Could not be told by the feet soles;

Waters trickle from the rocks of mountains,

But flow a pool in winding boughs;

Trees shed their leaves abound,

But wither from the new buds no one knows;

And when the blindfold strips off the beauty,

The sun rises up to its place in glory;

And all the bells chime from their heights,

The same solemn hymns our hearts cry out;

When then the waters sparkle with streaming golden light,

When the birds fly singing their very sweetest;

We sing out to God for another given Sunday;

The past days like the sun roll away;

And the decay of the day, the night showers wash;

Out sprouts the greens for our feet to tread calm’

And sweet goes our song for another given Sunday.

A Whole New World

I´ve found in you a new world

That no one ever saw before;

One with brooks that lengthen life

So no one there can die;

The virgin lands on which we tread

Are full of tales to tell;

And all the stars that shine at night

Are wishes that come true.

All the flowers in the fields

Give all the sweetest dreams;

The dew that wets the fields at dawn

Tastes sweeter than our wine;

And one bite of a juicy plum

Makes us want nothing more;

But all I ever ask of you

Is just to keep me there.

Unreliable Love

Oh man, how too  fast you forget,

How fast she fades away;

So mean you are with trust,

Too soon the rhythm turns to noise

And the stars all feign again;

So simple is your pronouncement,

Too soon it fades away;

She flutters into your arms

And soon she’s put away;

If only she could sense,

You could hate more than you’ve loved;

And your lips that once gave warmth,

Too soon to wage a war.

A Love Cry

Each hour of every passing day,

Each word in every truthful tale;

Whatever lies in store for you

Is pretty you can know;

Whatever lies beyond a dream?

If ever more the eyes can see;

In tales where happy men have been,

Is that plain you can know;

Are not the roses all we see?

Their beauty, all our poems have told?

Through seasons fair and all year long,

That curious ears have heard?

From foggy morn’s to ghostly eve’s,

In happy times from ghostly pasts;

A one tale only you can tell,

About the world you’ll know;

But all I ask as friend from you,

That ever sure can make me smile,

Is just for you to tell me, dear,

That you will go with me.

God Loves The World

God loves the world,

The place in which we live;

The trees that grow so tall,

The skies so blue and beautiful;

The flowers in the garden,

The puppies and the kittens;

The birds up in the trees,

And the butterflies as well.

God loves the sun

That shines throughout the day;

The seas and the mountains,

And all that He has made;

But God loves us more,

More than anything He made;

For beyond the many creation,

He cares for you and me.
